TM2 & this plugin on OS X 10.10 => Crash #10
Comments
Same here, crashes the app every time. |
Here too... |
Same here... |
Have this problem to... |
I had fixed this problem. Maybe it is not compatible with old versions, but it works fine for Mac OSX 10.10. https://github.com/pingjiang/emmet-objc please use at your own risk. |
pingjiang, great news! can you publish compiled version? |
Yes, TextMate plugin is already released here. https://github.com/pingjiang/emmet-objc/releases/download/v10.10.1/Emmet.tmplugin.zip. |
pingjiang, thanks a lot! This is CodaPlugin build from you fork: It works! Hooooray! :-) |
Seems the version from README.md doesn't work. |
👍 |
Had this same problem but pingjiang's version seems to work! How can we make this more obvious? Will the changes be merged in at some point? |
It seems as though pingjian's version doesn't support "Update Image Size" and emmetio's version still seems to crash. Any updates on these? |
The master built crashes (OSX 10.10.1, Textmate 2.0-beta.6). I'm using pingjiang's Textmate plugin now. A note in the Readme file (or on the website) would help. |
so Is there any compatible version of Emmet with TextMate version 2.0-beta.6.8 and OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 (14C109)? Thank you a lot! |
Well this one works for me on OS X 10.10.2: https://github.com/pingjiang/emmet-objc/releases/tag/v10.10.1 |
@mcdado thank you a lot! It works for me as well:) |
All emmet plugins are incompatible for TextMate 2-0-beta.6.8 & OSX Yosemite (10.10), which includes this and pingjinag's plugins. |
pingjiang's plugin (https://github.com/pingjiang/emmet-objc/releases/tag/v10.10.1) is also working for me, in OS X 10.10.2, with TM 2.0-beta.6.8. Thanks! |
great job @pingjiang ! The original one crashed on 10.10.3 and yours does the trick. Thanks so much. |
+1 for @pingjiang's branch working on OSX v10.10.4, TextMate2 v2.0-beta.7.6 |
Thanks @pingjiang! the objc version works for me on OSX v10.10.5 TextMate2 2.0-beta.7.4 |
emmet plugin is crashing TextMate 2 latest on 10.11.1 for me |
Same here. Tried the @pingjiang version with same (crashing) results. Just updated to El Capitan today, and am using the very latest TM2. |
Still crashing.. Did try with TextMate 1.5.11 and TextMate 2.0-beta.9.2 |
Just tried @pingjiang release and it works w/ 2.0-beta.9.2 |
This issue is back. TextMate 2.0-beta.11.9 fights against the installation of the plugin by explicitly checking the bundle identifier. This is a sain thing to do to the standard bundle as it no longer works, but the problem has already been solved by @pingjiang in his custom bundle. I've been able to get it working again by downloading @pingjiang's branch and changing the identifier to something that doesn't include "io.emmet.EmmetTextmate"; "io.emmet.EmmetTM2". https://github.com/loadedsith/emmet-objc/releases/tag/v10.11.1 Given that this issue is so prevalent that TM dev's coded against it; textmate/textmate@4b19e40 Maybe we could get @pingjiang and my changes pulled into the default files? |
Allan from TextMate suggests that
Should disable this check. If that is true you can continue using @pingjiang's version. |
I’m going to release a new version of plugin soon. The plugin is written from scratch for new OSX version and currently powers Coda plugin: http://emmet.io/download/coda/ |
@sergeche Great news, Sergey! Thanks for this awesome plugin! |
Hey guys! I know it’s been a while... But here’s beta version of shiny new Emmet plugin for TextMate2: http://download.emmet.io/EmmetTextMate.tmplugin.zip The plugin is rewritten from scratch and works in OSX 10.9. As with Coda plugin, this one requires a small fee to enable abbreviation expanding by Tab and preferences UI (this will help me with further development). In new version, a Tab expander was significantly improved: it tries to respect field editor (tabstops), but, unfortunately, it works a one big hack since TM2 API wasn’t designed for such cases. So, in order to check if everything works as expected, a Tab expander is enabled by default even for free version (it will expire in August, 15). So please let me know if you experience issues with it |
Now I have two Emmett menus in TM2. Which one is which, and how do I get rid of the wrong one? Walter
|
@walterdavis two menu items in app’s main menu? |
Yes. I found the problem and fixed it. I had both Emmet.tmplugin and EmmetTextMate.tmplugin in my Application Support/TextMate folder. I was using a forked version that was publicized in this list a few weeks ago to run Emmet in my El Capitan TM2. Walter

It doesn't seem to matter what I do this new Emmet plugin hard crashes my TextMate on any actions. https://api.textmate.org/crashes/338852 I've tried Reflecting a CSS value, in and out of a CSS file, in and out of a transform block (the way it's demoed). I've tried Remove Tag in an HTML document. And Any time I press tab (as far as I can tell, it's literally any time) Also, Reflect CSS has a key binding of Control + R, Without that being configurable, it would override the default Execute Line hot key, which I use regularly. I'm happy to help debug, if there's something more I can do. |
@loadedsith Sorry, can’t access api.textmate.com, can you send me a crash log at serge.che@gmail.com? |
I’ve updated new plugin, it fixes TextMate crash if soft tabs are enabled. Please re-download it and try again: http://download.emmet.io/EmmetTextMate.tmplugin.zip |
How funny! Indeed, I pretty much only use soft tabs. I’ve downloaded the new plugin, installed it and done exactly one expansion, but it didn’t crash! I'll report back if anything else goes wrong! |
