Find a way to record video in landscape mode, while holding a smarphone in portrait mode.

Two ideas to consider:

  1. Can we take in the full portrait mode video, but only render, and capture the center of it that is 640 x 360.
  2. Is there a way to control the camera and get it to record in landscape mode, while the phone is in portrait mode.
