In https://github.com/enketo/enketo-xslt/blob/master/xsl/openrosa2html5form.xsl, it's stated that:

  • Enketo-xslt is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify
  • it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
  • the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or

However, https://github.com/enketo/enketo-xslt/blob/master/LICENSE suggests enketo-xslt is released under the Apache licence.

Which one's correct?

Ah, thanks for catching that! It should be Apache2 (like all enketo products). I will fix that.

Since you're looking into this, I would like to highlight this crucial library that Enketo uses: https://github.com/enketo/enketo-xpathjs. Unfortunately, I didn't write this (great) library and have no control over the license. There is no alternative either.

Thanks for the clarification! I noticed the xpathjs license it's AGPL. If it's a crucial library, does that mean that enketo-transformer is also AGPL'd?

I don't think so. It's not part of enketo-transformer. It's crucial for enketo-core (which is in everything). Since I don't include the code in the repo, I think I can license enketo-core differently, but I'm not 100% sure.
