Dear students,

The final written exams will be held remotely. Further details will be provided here as soon as possible within the next few days. In the meantime, please ensure you have a working webcam, which is a requirement for remote exams.

On how the exam will look like: along the lines of the midterm self-evaluation. So expect a similar set of questions, this time covering the entire program (both the theory and the notebooks).

Please remember to register on infostud for the date you intend to take the exam. This is not only needed to register your final grade, but also to help us with the organization and supervision of the remote session. The exam will only take 2 hours in total, so it is imperative that we proceed as smoothly as possible on the day of the exam.

Dear students,

Here are the instructions for tomorrow's exam:

  1. Connect to the Zoom classroom with your computer, using the same link as the standard lectures.
  2. Turn on your webcam.
  3. Visit exam.net.
  4. We will share a code on Zoom that you will use to enter exam.net and access the exam.

The exam will take 2 hours and start at 15:00. A few important notes:

  • Once you are inside the exam, you are not allowed to change window (not even to go to Zoom). If you do, you will be locked out of the exam.
  • If we suspect copying or unethical behavior, your exam is suspended and converted to an oral examination.
  • In the exam view, you can (i) type directly with your keyboard, (ii) include sketches using the drawing tool, (iii) scan handwritten pages, or (iv) a combination of these.
  • If you have questions during the exam, you can use the chat tool of exam.net (not Zoom!).

Dear students,

The grades for the written exam of June 10th are now published. Please download them here.

As anticipated, the score reported in the sheet will concur to the final grade according to the formula 0.4project + 0.6written exam. However, while the maximum score in the written exam was 40, the maximum score for the project will be 33.

The project can be delivered directly via email.

Given the particular situation, yes. You are given the possibility to give the exam as an oral test, replacing the written exam of July 8th. Please contact me via email to fix a date and time for this.

Dear students,

A clarification / reminder on the final grade.

Once you have submitted your project, we will communicate a grade that can be directly registered on Infostud, if you accept it. Otherwise:

  • If this grade is <=30, you can take an oral exam to get plus or minus 3 points. The oral exam will cover all the lecture material.
  • If this grade is >30, then the oral exam is still needed to get a laude. However, in this case the oral exam will be a brief discussion of the written exam.

Dear students,

Please note that we need to receive your projects several days before 23 July, in order to be able to correct all of them in due time and do oral exams if requested. If we receive a burst of submissions on 22 July, for example, we might not be able to grade all of them, and some will have to be moved to the September session.
