In a TS app (i.e. see https://github.com/tomwayson/angular-cli-esri, but first would like to understand why non-relative imports don't work there).

In a ES5 app (i.e. pull in https://unpkg.com/esri-loader@0.1.0/dist/index.js and use the functions).

Actually, I think we'd need to add these functions to global namespace (like esriLoader) to use this in ES5. At that point, I wonder if it's worth it. I'm inclined to wait for someone to open an issue indicating that they need to use this in ES5 before adding that.

I'm actually much more interested in figuring out how to use this in an ES2015 React.
