Better Google Calendar embed

The embeddable version of Google Calendar, to put it lightly, isn't ideal for the modern Web. It isn't pretty, isn't mobile/touch friendly, and isn't accessible.

Investigate what alternatives exist that still tie in with Google Calendar backend. Implement a suitable alternative if possible.

  • Advantage: free and open-source (most of the rest are paid/proprietary)
• Bravenet
• Tockify

  • Used for HIDE - documentation isn't great but has a variety of options
• vue-simple-calendar
• Vue Cal

For this approach, a system will need to be found or developed to get data from Google Calendar and parse it to display with the above calendar components.
