Hey,

It seems I have an issue currently where, when syncing in locations either far from the main server, or with spotty connections, that I get massive battery drain (10% in about 7 minutes) likely due to repeated connection attempts. Provided log files etc out of band, but if further detail is needed in this ticket, let me know and I shall provide it!

Thanks! I suspect it may be time to have geographically distributed servers, or figure out other ways of mitigating these issues. :|
To support that we would need to either use a GeoDNS provider, or just redirect to correct server using nginx as laid out here https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-use-nginx-as-a-global-traffic-director-on-debian-or-ubuntu for example.
Locations: probably NYC, Germany, Singapore. See https://www.submarinecablemap.com/ for cable coverage.

Singapore definitely has pretty good coverage to Oceania region; I've migrated from JP -> SGP for any of my servers I'm running in that area, so I think would probably work well in terms of geo distribution.

Thanks far the feedback! OK, I'll take a look into doing that. :)

OK, apparently that's not the cause, so this is no longer a top priority. :)
