No OpenCL platforms found #1840
Comments
Note: rolling back to 18.6.1 it worked. It does not work on 19.1.1. Is there anyone that can explain the reason why other ethash miners work, but not this one? |
Update: If DDU drivers, then install 18.6.1 it works. If anyone else gets stuck- That's how I figured it out. You have to install and older driver, then upgrade to new drivers. Only way to make it work. No other miners require this. This is a bug. |
@MaynardMiner this is the same issue #1845 I mentioned the fix for it if you are able to rebuild your own version of ethminer. AMD must have removed something from the driver that is also included with AMD APP/OCL. |
Ah I see what you did there, nice. I ended up cheating- I installed 18.6.1 drivers, then installed over them with 19.1.1 drivers (not clean). Then it started to recognize the platform. |
Solution here: #2001 |
Hello,
I am on my wits end. I have spent a day trying to figure this out, and I at this point believe its a bug.
Latest drivers
1 Vega
1 RX580
I have tried many different variations, (--opencl-platforms, etc.)
PhoenixMiner and Claymore work fine- No issues.
I really would like to try this miner, but it doesn't work.
