the rationale for not using pysha3 seems that it's not supported by pypy. i checked and this is no longer the case.

pysha3 10x faster than pycryptodome. we should use it by default if it's installed.

I'm good with that. It might take us a bit to get to though, so feel free to open a PR if we're too slow :)
