Smoke tests start failing after running them for a while #1152

Every time we run smoke tests towards a given deployment, they start failing a little bit after garbage collection starts to kick in.

In this example, garbage collection:

  1. for node 0 starts around 15:00
  2. for node 11 starts around 16:00
  3. for nodes 12 40 50 starts around 17:50

First smoke test failure is around 17:36.

This means that garbage collection triggered only on node 0 and node 11 is enough to fail the smoke test.
