# update-rc.d ferm defaults tut es nicht....
Als Quickfix habe ich jetzt service ferm start in die /etc/rc.local gepackt. Das tut es.

Gibt es auf dem System systemd? Dann sollte "systemctl enable ferm" tun.

Es ist ein Ubuntu LTS, also nein.

Habe hier ein ähnliches Problem, das ferm kommt nicht hoch und generiert nichtmal logfiles dazu.
