On my MacBookPro10,1 running 10.9.4, DisableMonitor can't disable my 27" monitors attached via Thunderbolt.

Belay that: I hadn't yet uncovered the prompt to give DisableMonitor assistive access.

On 10.9, the steps are:

  • Open System Preferences
  • Choose Security and Privacy
  • Unlock the panel by activating the lower left hand padlock if necessary
  • Check the box next to DisableMonitor

The Assistive Access is only used for moving the Windows from the Disabled Monitor to an active one.
The "disable function" should not be influenced by that.
Will be fixed in next release.
