Setup:
7,8kwp PV
8kWh Storage
Opel Corsa e with 48kWh
EVCC running nativ on Synology NAS
Premise:
I have a fairly small PV system that never produces more than 4-5kW of power.
I can't always park/charge at my house because I don't have enough space. Therefore it is important to know a) that the car is charging and b) in which mode
What I wanted to achieve:
I want to receive a notification on my iPhone if PV-charging (<10kW) started so I know the car is charging + which mode
I want to receive a notification on my iPhone if Power-charging (>10kW) started so I know the car is charging + which mode
Solution:
Home Assistant "reads" EVCC via MQTT.
3. Create a sensor under config/custom_components that is fed via MQTT. #Sensors for Personal Use /Dashboard - name: "Ladestrom" unique_id: evcc_ladestrom_w state_topic: "evcc/loadpoints/1/chargePower" value_template: "{{ value | round(1) }}" unit_of_measurement: "W" availability_topic: "evcc/status"
5. Use Cases / Notification
For use case 1 --> Create an automation via Home Assistant that sends the PV notification.

Upside:
Downside:
If its cloudy, I get the notification all the time. Any ideas?
