Please add a license

Hi there. It would be very helpful from a distribution packaging point of view if you could include a copy of the MIT license with your software, usually in a file called LICENSE.

What exactly would this help with? If there's a good reason for it I'll do it, but otherwise I don't really like the extra cruft (slightly silly I know)

From a Linux distribution packaging point of view we always encourage upstream vendors to include a copy of the license that their software is licensed under. The lack of a license isn't a dealbreaker, so it's completely up to you. Alternatively you could put the license text at the bottom of the README. It's only 15 lines or so.
