Kernel configuration is invalid

So the last time battery fix worked just fine on L430, but this time around I have a problem compiling kernel... regardless if it's MAKE or dkms build -m x2100-ec-sys/1.0 I have this as a result:

ERROR: Kernel configuration is invalid.
include/generated/autoconf.h or include/config/auto.conf are missing.
Run 'make oldconfig && make prepare' on kernel src to fix it.

Any help?
