  • Reduce them as much as possible.
  • Provide information if the package was created with a higher version ("Please update to the latest version of eXeLearning to edit this content").
  • Provide that information if it was created with an older incompatible version (this should not happen, but...).

The compatibility option was removed time ago. You'll be able to open old elp files with a new eXe version, but not the other way, al least in most cases.
