I am trying to install bluing on a current kali machine, however an error is displayed that bluing only works with python3.10. Currently, on my system only python3.11 is installed. I tried to install the older version of python, but without luck.

Is it possible to upgrade bluing to work with newer versions of python as well? I guess python3.10 is required because bluing is not backwards compatible? Newer versions of pythons should, however, not be a problem.

The latest Kali Linux does now use python 3.11 by default.

However, I've had some troubles (external issues) trying to get the release version of bluing to support python 3.11. Once they are resolved, the new release of bluing will run in python 3.11.

@fO-000 Hi are you planning on porting it to python 3.11?

@sgxgsx Future versions of bluing are planned to be released on the nopfire platform.

@Naoannn @fO-000 Understood, but when do you plan to release the next version? Also, curious what exactly differs between 3.10 and 3.11 so that bluing couldn't be supported on 3.11?

@sgxgsx bluing v0.13.0 is now available on the nopfire platform and supports python 3.11, just the bluing project itself hasn't said anything about it yet.

The bluing project's delay in supporting python 3.11 was initially a technical issue, but has since evolved into a non-technical issue.

@Naoannn in case of nopfire is the source code available or only a deb package for version 0.0.1?
Also, if you by any chance know @fO-000 and also worked on BlueRepli - I'd like to also inquire about that repo as it was kinda announced that the code/attack would be released/shared but actually wasn't
