This video by Adam Millard presents fishing mini games as one way to deal with dehabituation. The problem can be summarised as one game play loop no matter how engaging leads to the player becoming exhausted towards that activity on a neural and subconscious level. For Factorio this dehabituation is killing mobs. I would enjoy it if Factropy would go a different direction. "Fishing mini game" is meant as a metaphor. Although a fishing mini game as a distraction should not be rejected out right. As it would be refreshing as it requires no planning and instead depends quick reactions.
