Components
When enabling and using Freeform mode, there are opportunities to optionally make it more persistent or more useful,

Proposal Description
Freeform mode is a fantastic feature for the Taskbar app. While it is incredibly useful, it should be easier to make Freeform more persistent for use more often than the standard Android interface.

Specifically, there should be an option for 'Always keep Freeform drawn above background.' Currently, when you enable Freeform, then access an app through the Taskbar interface that supports it, you can drag and resize your Apps on your Android interface. When you click off a Freeform app, it puts the Freeform apps into the background behind the home interface on Android. It would be advantageous to a great number users to keep the Freeform apps in the foreground. To then access the home page when using Freeform, one can use the Taskbar app and/or the standard Android activity switcher to switch back to home view, or back to Freeform in the foreground mode.

Mockups / Examples

  1. An option added to Freeform options for 'Always in the foreground.'

  1. On Android default activity switcher and/or on Taskbar app switcher, add an option to return Freeform to background or return it back to foreground.

Benefits
The biggest attraction for most users to multitasking would be the ability to have Freeform on their Android devices, and making it more prominent or persistent would add value to most users who are taking advantage of Freeform mode. It's nearly that good of an option it could be marketed as a sister-app from Taskbar - specifically for using Freeform.
