No Free Option for Paperspace Gradient

Not sure if this is the place to file comments about resources for the course, but just wanted to relay my experience. I came here via the book > website > https://course.fast.ai/#how-do-i-get-started. It says:

If you don’t have a Paperspace account yet, sign up with [this link](https://console.paperspace.com/signup?R=lg6rnx) to get $10 credit – and we get a credit too.

Happy to support any team that offers resources for free. I registered and tried to create a notebook, and no matter which "free" option I chooose, it asks for a credit card. It's not even clear whether they just want the card or if they are going to charge you. Tried Kaggle and Colob, neither asked me for a credit card to at least create a notebook. I've already dealt with surprise bills from AWS, so not interested in finding out whether that's possible with Paperspace. It's really too bad as well, since the interface for Paperspace looked really good. But I'm not giving them my credit card number until I can at least try out their service.

Just wanted to relay this to the author's since they are recommending the service. Feel free to close this issue as is appropriate and I appreciate the time and attention.
