What are the aspects of my code, and tools that I will forget how to use if I stop using it daily? How do I document the little things I end up needing to reinvent or rediscover when I do take this stuff up again?

Well from experience, it's not just passwords. For me, the command line stuff is quick to use and quick to forget. And also quick enough to relearn.
