The server-side limit for a search query is 2000. Some groups have more than 2000 users, such as the packager group in Fedora.

This appears to not be an issue anymore:

  • Tested on tinystage, and successfully can see all the users of a group with more than 2000 members
  • the packagers group on prod has been pruned to around 1500 members, (and that is by far the biggest group) but on staging, the group still has 2300 members and all are visible.
