Updating not possible through Software anymore #358
Comments
Please fill out the new bug template. This is missing a lot of info such as your current version, etc. |
Looks like the template does not show if you press new issue and then login. No idea why I didn't include the release either. It's about F37 beta. I updated the main text. My apologies. |
I think I saw it too, but I did not pay any attention to it (because I've been testing something else). I do not see this being filled upstream. Would you mind to move it there [1], please? The fix should be done there anyway. I checked few recent rpm-ostree-related upstream bugs there and I did not spot anything close enough. I can file an upstream bug for you, if you do not have an account there or you cannot do it for any reason. [1] https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/-/issues/new |
I looked on this and there happened a typo in the code while changing related API. I opened a fix for it at [2]. [2] https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/-/merge_requests/1502 |
Just in case, I mean no need to file a bug upstream. |
Thanks! |
Quick update: this seems to have been fixed. I had no trouble updating from 37.20221019 to 37.20221024 using GNOME Software. This issue should be good to close. |
Appears to be working for me as well. Thanks. |
Describe the bug
The Download button in the Updates tab of Software disappears for one second when pressing it, displaying the loading bar, then going back to displaying the Download button. Normally, Software auto-downloads the updates but only asks me to install them.
To Reproduce
Please describe the steps needed to reproduce the bug:
Expected behavior
I only expect a button for Install. Secondly, pressing Download should download the updates.
