Page gets confused about which view is active

Web page shows the Starred view but when clicking around the Starred items hide and Unread items pop in.

To reproduce: Open Starred view in one tab, open Unread view in a second tab, go back to Starred tab and click on feed items.

The active view information looks to be part of logged-in user state (?!). The problem seems to be that all item fetches use this server-side active view. It's fine for the first fetch to do this but subsequent ones should use the visibly active view as the server-side active view might have changed.
