A way to get started writing Objective-C Plugin for Colloquy.
Current functionality of the plugin just sends a growl notification when a message is sent from any of the channels.
Checkout Colloquy from trunk to ~/cocoa/Colloquy
http://source.colloquy.info/svn/trunk svn co http://source.colloquy.info/svn/trunk ~/cocoa/Colloquy
You might need to make ~/cocoa if it does not exists.
Build and Compile the following frameworks first:
-
Acid.framework
-
AGRegex.framework
-
TCMPortMapper.framework
-
ChatCore.framework
After the frameworks are built Open Colloquy.xcodeproj with XCode then select build and compile.
-
If you have issues trying to build it might be a good idea to set the Base SDK to 10.5
Once you have the Colloquy and its frameworks built you can open the Colloquy Objective-C Plugin XCode project
You may need to go into:
Project > Edit Project Settings
and set “Header Search Paths” to the path of the Colloquy project you built. Also make sure to check “Always Search User Paths” Also set “Framework Search Paths” to the Colloquy project.
If you get errors about ChatCore.framework missing just remove it and re-add.
Once you have the plugin compiled. You can place it or symlink it to
~/Library/Application\ Support/Colloquy/PlugIns
Colloquy will then load all plugins from that directory.
There also might be steps I am missing here…
