Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently when the buttons are activated (either a restart, or the page being changed to), there is no signifier for indicating that the serial port is not connected to yet

Describe the solution you'd like
A clear indicator on the button face to show its connecting, and not attempt to send any data till its connected.
