Description

This issue can be resolved by implementing #13112 .
If multiple channels of Files are installed, a default one can be selected through Settings -> Apps -> Default Apps -> Search "FILES-UWP". Opening a non-default version, closing the window, and clicking the tray icon will cause the default version of Files starting to load.

2024-02-01.18-35-47.mp4

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Install Files Stable and Files Preview
  2. Set Files Stable as default
  3. Open Files Preview
  4. Close the window
  5. Click the tray icon
  6. Observe the color of the tray icon changes from blue to yellow and the Files Stable starts loading

Requirements

I believe it would be better to keep the application consistent.

Files Version

3.1.7.0

Windows Version

10.0.22621.3007

Log File
