_1 Upvote_ We need to integrate full composer functionality to improve the (web)installer and support more functionality in terms of the Extensions:

There are 2 questions related to that:

  1. How difficult is to make a installation wizzard, starting from the Composer parameters?
  2. How are the extensions being handled? Aren't they in a folder of their own, as they are in other CMSes? Or are they overwriting (this CMS's) system (that means internal, possibly critical) files?

@sapioit

  • a first attempt at creating a composer-less wizard
  • extensions are simple composer packages that have the type flarum-extension which the composer-installer package in flarum/core handles to move them into a seperate directory
