This will make the vale pipe be open when a redstone signal is applied, and closed when one is removed. Since the code only operates when a redstone signal changes, using your hand should still be a viable option.

Pipe will be open when a redstone signal is on, and closed when off, this should only happen when the redstone state changes.
Editing on github is a bad idea.

This was removed on purpose so that automatic pressure release valves could not be created.
