The predicate 'checkPreconds' in the agent 'post/addressLetterAgent'
has been updated and is more correct than the version that other
agents have. This also entails small changes in the Sig file (removal
of uninstantiated arguments from the list). This will be the version
that is used for future agents and all existing agents should be
updated with this version, once it has been used long enough to debug
it.
*********************
The whole process of diagnosis is too rubbish. There is no clear
decision about how questions are asked, when to rely on one's own
knowledge, etc. This needs to be rethought and rewritten ... if
there's time ...
***********************
There is a problem with class mismatch diagnoses that needs to be
corrected.
Problem preconds are found by checking PA's beliefs against SPA's:
e.g., PA believes class(thisAddress, irelandAddress) but SPA does not.
There are three problems:
- PA should believe anyway that class(thisAddress, irelandAddress) is
true because it believes both class(thisAddress, scotlandAddress) and
class(scotlandAddress, irelandAddress) but this is not appearing in the
centralSig.
- SPA's beliefs are a bit screwed up, need to sort this out somehow.
- If PA discovers its believe class(thisAddress, irelandAddress) is
wrong, it does not try to find out why it believes that to be true
(i.e., that scotlandAddress is a subclass of irelandAddress). It
needs to sort through the class hierarchy to find all the potential
problems and then question the agent as to which is correct. This
needs to be built in.
These problems can be sorted out and are theoretically too hard
(though practically maybe hard). But this is only worth redoing
properly if ORS is going to be directly used.
*************************
The refinement process assumes that all args are uninstantiated and
therefore can be identified by their initial ?. If the args are
instantiated, refinement will fail.
**********************
Argument switch (and maybe others) assumes that all variables are
instantiated and fails if any are uninstantaited. Need to fix this.
********************
domain repair is very hard ... how to tell this apart from adding a
class restriction? examples for this are quite forced and need to be
based on an instantiated question.
