I think I know what you mean, but could you please state a case when "accidental moving" can occur. Maybe, it is just a bad GUI design . Otherwise, it would be interesting to define the layout of the windows differently for each layout. It's an interesting idea, but I don't know if it's not too complicated. |

I think that every user will find an arrangement of windows that suits his needs. In addition, the screen space is limited. Not everyone has a large monitor. So one will try to find a compromise between window arrangement and screen size. For me it looks like this. When GUI developers work with large monitors, they sometimes forget to check their own window arrangement with a smaller monitor. It sometimes takes some time to find a good personal window arrangement. Occasionally it happens that an additional window becomes detached from the arrangement. This can only happen accidentally, for example if you make a careless mouse action. The recovery is often not simple, since a shifting of the window positions always affects the other additional windows and these move likewise. It is not a big problem here, but it does happen occasionally. It is similar with the arrangement and the design of the widgets and menu bars with the KDE Plasma Desktop. For the desktop, I therefore lock the widget positions as well. With QLog, I have a screenshot of the GUI and a backup of "QLog.conf", so I can then use it to restore it. The design of the GUI and the additional windows themselves I find basically good and would therefore currently see no reason to change anything. All in all, the possibility of locking the positions of the additional windows would only be a help to avoid accidental changing of the window positions. It is not absolutely necessary to include this in the GUI. Therefore, my contribution should only be a hint. Other opinions on this would be vy helpful. |

OK, it is clear for me now. It also happens to me like that. I'll try to implement something. Currently, I'm modifying QLog to fully customize the NewQSO Window, so I'll try to add your idea there. |

The additional windows can be arranged in the main application window in any way. From my point of view it would be useful to be able to lock the position of the windows to avoid accidental moving.
The functionality could be added in the "Layout" menu as a "Layout lock / unlock" toggle.
