I think that we undoubtedly need fields like

  • SSID - because we want our users to be able to type their wifi name
  • Password - because in most cases our users use a specific password to their own wifi
  • Authentication - because I think that it is crucial to inform users about the offered data's security while connecting to wireless network.
  • Wireless standard - because it helps users to identify wifi properties like maximum speed, range and devices.

On the other hand, when it comes to wireless standard I am wondering if we need to point these specific information like speed, range which is brought by wifi standard seperately. I am simply not sure if average wifi user is aware what wifi standard means. If not - replacing these simple information by wifi standard does not provide 'transparent' wifi

I've added new fields:

  • Service,
  • Bandwidth control
  • Number of devices allowed.
I am not absolutely sure if I have now all needed data but I think I can close this issue, and reopen it, if I find something new (I am going to talk to Wifi experts and ask them )
