What is the feature?

Currently, there is no good way to show players which places they've already traveled through and which were just revealed by the party token.

AFAIK the Mapped state is supposed to be for the Map Area activity.
Since in my game I don't plan to use it, I've renamed it to Explored (aka Traveled), but then I've run again into the same issue, but now I need a way to tell an unexplored, reconnoitered hex from an explored one.

What package are you reporting this for?

Do the exploration rules have a mechanical concept of "explored" hexes, outside of the existing reconnoitered / mapped settings that we support? If not, then I don't think we'll add something like this to track it, since- even if I can see why it would benefit your use case- I'm worried that including extra parameters like that may make the window seem even more confusing for users who can't find any reference to it in the rules. I do think your workaround sounds like a good idea, though! Another thing you could consider is changing the fog exploration settings so that it only explores hexes that the party have travelled through, and using the fog exploration status to denote whether a hex has been "explored" ? Finally, a third option would be to give them all a terrain feature- since those can be freely renamed, you could just pick one whose icon you liked (maybe Road?) and name it "Explored".
