I’m wondering if anyone has considered using Graal’s native image tool to provide the g8 command for Windows, Linux and macOS targets. I’ll give this a go soon, but just in case others have tried...

I think g8 would benefit enormously by being a single self contained download. Startup times should also be improved.

This should be much easier now with the move to Coursier: https://get-coursier.io/docs/cli-native-bootstrap
