npm install - 145 vulnerabilities, 12 critical #1925

from running the docker-compose dev yaml file I notice the npm install phase shows:

found 145 vulnerabilities (107 moderate, 26 high, 12 critical)
  run `npm audit fix` to fix them, or `npm audit` for details

erm... ??? that's a lot of vulnerabilites
