Not discovered when in fastboot

I'm using XMT2_Linux_20.7.28.run. I connected the devices, asked for modifications and the phone was rebooted into fastboot. Now it is no longer discovered by XiaoMiTool. I've tried rebooting both my computer and the phone.

The old V1 version is able to find the phone, but will not unlock it:

fastboot is able to find the phone:

sudo fastboot devices    
y57livz9wws8mnor	fastboot

It's an Redmi Note 8 Pro and I'm using Fedora 32 with fastboot version c7815d675.

This was solved by running the tool with sudo
