Right now, there are methods that you can add to the specific calendar for update_event and get_events, but there is nothing for creating new events. This creates issues when trying to customize event creation for a specific doc type.
In my specific case, I would like to create an event as a child doc in a document (for ERPNext, creating a Timesheet Detail in a Timesheet). The current implementation doesn't allow this because it assumes the start and end fields are in the parent document, and there is no ability to customize the create_event method.
I've tried getting this to work myself but failed miserably with some sync issues.
