Sales Email extract process fail #964

In Selling -> Setup -> Sales email Settings we added an email account and checked "Extract Emails".
We found 2 problems:

  1. The emails are removed from the email web server.
  2. It started to import the emails OK but suddenly it crashed, so we lost the rest of the emails not imported as because they were deleted by the server.

Any suggestion? Can you set your POP settings not to delete any mails?

Best would be IMAP, pdvyas said that you've got much requests for IMAP, that it's on your list and you'll execute once major v5.0 tasks are done.
About the crash, we were trying to import the emails of more than one year, and was crashing after taking some hundreds. In case of crash POP is very dangerous because you loose everything.

IMAP is now implemented.
