Unfortunately, the parquet file format definition (https://github.com/apache/parquet-format/blob/master/src/main/thrift/parquet.thrift) only contains a definition of INTERVAL for converted types but not for logical types. It contains a comment about a numeric logical type identifier being reserved for it, but INTERVAL is simply not available as logical type, for whatever reason.
As converted types are deprecated and we should use Logical types, but currently there is missing the Logical Type for Interval in the library
