Your Roadmap to 5G Expertise Starts Here — And It’s Free!
Linux Foundation Education has launched Introduction to free5GC (LFS114), a free, self-paced course designed for developers, network engineers, and technologists who want to deepen their 5G expertise and work directly with modern 5G Core architecture. In just a few focused hours, you’ll learn how free5GC is built, how its core functions operate, and how to navigate and engage with the codebase — giving you a real advantage in today’s cloud native networking landscape.
The free5GC (a Linux Foundation project) is an open-source project for 5th generation (5G) mobile core networks. The ultimate goal of this project is to implement the 5G core network (5GC) defined in 3GPP Release 15 (R15) and beyond.
Currently, the major contributors are from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU{target=_blank}).
The source code of the latest version of free5GC can be downloaded from here{target=_blank}.
Information about TSC (Technical Steering Committee) can be found at free5gc/governance.
Follow our LinkedIn{target=_blank} page to get the news about free5GC.
Please refer to our roadmap for the features of each release.
