Is it worth visualising this alongside the gender per country? Having the country color being the total number of respondents from the country, then gender, age and minority status as mini-visualisations on mouseover?
Alternatively, maybe a line graph so you can overlay different countries across each other to compare or quickly see patterns - x axis being age, y axis being proportion of respondents
