I still mostly build things from ports, and just thought, "hmm, what about I try pkg(8) on this -CURRENT/powerpc machine?"
Well, it did not do anything, no output, error code = 74. I guess it would help if I did pkg update first, but why search does not whine about stale/missing database?

I've applied the patch manually to pkg-1.2.7 and rebuilt; now it tells me: Unable to open remote database "FreeBSD". Try running 'pkg update' first. Hence I'm closing it, thank you!
