Please publish an official Homebrew formula so that

$ brew install reuse

works.

Acceptable Formulae

Homebrew is happy to accept applications that are built in Python, whether the apps are available from PyPI or not.

Python for Formula Authors

python-brewer is a command-line utility (written in Python) to help with generating formula templates for Homebrewfrom installed Python packages.

Thanks in advance.

So I'm marking this upstream wontfix, but I won't close the issue. The short response is that, as downstream, we will not work on this. But anyone who wants to pick this up and maintain a Homebrew package is welcome to.

Also marking 'good first issue'.

edit: also thanks @sdavids for the issue!
