Hi @DavisVaughan, thanks for bringing the issue to my attention!

Indeed, fst doesn't seem to handle the zero-column selection correctly because of the data.table::setattr() method as you mention in your comment.

I will fix that ASAP, thanks for taking the time to debug the error!
