I have downloaded and installed FTEDroid.apk successfully and I have id1 folder containing both pak0.pak and pak1.pak files and I copied the id1 folder to both Android/data/com.fteqw/files and sdcard/fte but FTEDroid still quits on boot.

Why?

¿Did you try to just have it in one of the two folders?

Does it matter if I have duplicates of id1 folder?

Sadly the Android APK isn't working at the moment. In the meantime, you may try this build but there is no support or guarantee it will work: https://archive.org/details/FTEDroid
