make-updater alternative

Drush comes packaged with the following, which should be utilised...

• make-update
• make-convert
• make-generate

So the make command is in general deprecated.

As cool as all this tooling is, it does require a lot of manual processing of information, and this has become easier with composer. Make may become it's own package for a legacy support, however no further improvements will take place here.
