Atom version: 1.17.0
Native UI version: 0.20.6

The issue

Sometimes, nested folders can appear in the wrong place, and the dots for the git status can go haywire. This tends to happen when the left bar is set to a small width and then resized.

This does not affect the built-in themes, such as "Atom Light" or "One Light", and I don't recall it happening before 1.17.0.

In these screenshots, state and mmm are sibling directories. This is the correct appearance, when there is enough width for everything:

When the panel is made a little smaller, this occurs:

Note that the git status dots are different, even though I haven't made any changes to any files.

Shrinking it even further causes the dots for the git status to go haywire. They'll move between files, disappear from files or folders, and shrink in size. Here's another view:

@jmeas I haven’t been able to reconstruct this bug. Could you give me some more tips when this exactly happens? See the attached GIF.

Adding to this ticket do to the title. Seems related.

In the lastest native theme in atom 1.17 my project tab is not really displaying as a tab. Its just a big block at the top. I am running on a mac pro with latest OS and patches.

@fksimon my workaround for that weird project tab was to just set display: none on it, although

@fv0 , I'm happy to help out more with this issue, but it always happens for me, so I can't really think of any other tips other than what's in the opening issue.

I'm reasonably confident it's not a package, because I just disabled all of them and it still happened. Also, I'm now on the latest version of both Atom and native-ui, and am still seeing the issue.

@jmeas @fksimon Sorry guys, I’m clueless how to fix this. I’ll leave it up to the community to make suggestions how to approach this. Everythings working fine for me and I haven’t heard from anybody else on this issue (and it’s quite a big one).
