Cannot easily convert hipo to root files.

What does HIPO files have to do with GROOT ?

What are input file types GROOT reads?

Either way, GROOT cannot read ROOT files, which is really the problem.

GROOT can output histograms to HIPO and read from HIPO.
When you say problem, problem for whom ?

GROOT is a ROOT clone, yet it cannot read/write ROOT files.
