Genus name a typo

I strongly suspect this genus is a misspelling of the genus Amphipogon

Hi John,

I have been out on sick leave & yesterday was a federal holiday here. Please continue to tag me for these (or email me directly) rather than sending them to ITISwebmaster email.

FYI, DIPTERA in ITIS is almost entirely unverified data inherited from the NODC predecessor (credibility rating = "unverified" on itis.gov website, but the underlying value is actually "No review; untreated NODC data"), and they date to about 1989 (Chris Thompson gave NODC a dump of his Diptera data at that time). We are aware that there are problems in the unverified dipteran data, and are trying to make headway in updating portions of Diptera (last update was a current world list for mosquitos (Culicidae), and a few other families were updated in ITIS some years back (global Stratiomyidae & Tephritidae, and Tachinidae of North America). For unverified NODC dipteran data like the ones noted today, it generally isn't something we will quickly address, other than to say that yes, this looks like an error as suggested, and we will be further updating the ITIS diptera in the future.

Question: are the ITIS data quality indicators in ITIS' "credibility" element available in the GBIF interface? If not, it should be a very appropriate bit to consider including.

Thanks,
Dave
