There should be two accepted genera here:

1. Lycogala Adanson, 1763 - Five versions in Nub but the accepted one is correct

2. Lycoperdon Pers. - 13 in nub and the accpted should be 9072221 rather than 9367003

The problem probably came from this Lycoperdon which is used incorrectly and should be synonym of Lycogala Adanson, 1763

Yes, I think so. And its is a synonym of https://www.gbif-uat.org/species/8102944

It is a genus of slime moulds. These were traditionally treated as Fungi, but many now belongs to protozoa. They are often still treated in the same checklists / databases as Fungi.
